experience. The long cruise the River of the Amazons,
for a moving exciting and adventure in the heart of the
Amazon (the rivers, the forest and local inhabitants),
of the beaches and the islands. To be in contact with
native and enjoy the nature with the necessary calm...
you will discover serene living. Between the two rivers
of the Amazon River there are 330 kilometers (we have
written just) and infinity of islands. Manaus is a
great city in the heart of the forest. To half cruise
between Belém and Manaus you will know the little city
of Alter do Chão, near Santarém. A wonderful peninsula
with beach of white sand and crystalline green water.
You can to take bath in the transparent and greens
waters of the Tapajos River. The boats departures are
taken all Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:00pm from Manaus
pier, and Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00pm from Belém
pier.
The Manaus-Belém trip takes around 3 nights and 3 days
passing along the following cities: Itacoatiara,
Parintins, Juruti, Oriximinã, Óbidos, Santarém, Monte
Alegre, Prainha, Almerim, Gurupá, Estreito de Breves
(the narrowest part of the river in this trip), Breves,
Baia de Guará and Belém. Stop at each city takes around
two hours, what gives no chance for passenger to know
all these cities. These stops need, because passengers
are embarking and disembarking at the same time.
The Belém -Manaus trip takes around 4 nights and 5 days
PROGRAM (Belém
to Manaus)
DAY 1: BELÉM
Free
transfer from your Hotel or the airport of Belem to the
port. Boat departures from Belém at 6:00 PM, navigation
towards the bay of Guajará and Marajó. Dinner and
night's passing in private cabin with services.
DAY 2: ISLAND DE MARAJÓ
Navigation
around the island of Marajò passing for various islands,
from several lakes, between they that of Breves. Lunch.
We will have visual contact with the population of
ribeirinhos and the exuberant Amazon Rain Forest. Entire
day in navigation. Dinner. Night's passing.
DAY 3: ALMERIN / PRAINHA / MONTE ALEGRE
The cruise
continues, in this point the river is wide 25 km. Lunch,
with pauses in the citizens in Almeirim, Prainha and
Monte Alegre for the boarding and drop off of the
passengers and the goods, dinner. We are on the equator
area and the sun rises every day at 05.00 AM and sunset
at 5.00 PM of the year the constant temperature is
approximately 30°C by day and 23°C by night
DAY 4: SANTAREM
To the
dawn, arrival to Santarém. After the breakfast, we will
visit the Alter do Chão village or visit the city of
Santarém (depends from the arrival timetable).
Possibility to take a bath or to fish in the greens
waters of Tapajós River and to walk across the Santarém
village of the native ones. Lunch in a typical
restaurant. Returns to Santarém and boarding. In the
afternoon the ship reaches the meet of the waters of the
Tapajós River (green waters) and Amazon River (brown
waters). Dinner.
DAY 5: OBIDOS/JURITI/PARINTINS
Continuing
the cruise, crossing hundred of islands. Lunch, with a
small pause in Óbidos, Juruti, Parintins (city of the
greatest popular festival of Brazil – Boi Bumba).
Dinner.
DAY 6: ARRIVAL TO MANAUS
The cruise
continues along the Amazon River. Breakfast and Lunch.
In the afternoon, we would admire the incredible meet of
the waters of the Rio Nego (black waters) and Rio
Solimões (brown waters) having given the name to the
Amazon river before to reach the port of Manaus. Drop
off and end of the cruise and services.

4:00pm from Manaus pier, and Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00pm
from Belém pier.

The ships are a regular
service, transport goods and people and the accommodation
for the native ones are exclusively in hammock. Little
cabins are classified to the tourists.
